Just what is Amichien Bonding?
Amichien Bonding is a method of of establishing ourselves as leader of our pack within the the minds of those that matters most- the dog's.
Jan Fennell developed this method after seeing Monty Roberts, the 'Horse whisperer', saddle and have a rider upon an "unbroken" horse of a friend of hers. She realised that if you could influence a horse's behaviour by learning the way they communicate, you could also do the same with dogs. She set out to learn as much as she could by studying the behaviour of wolves, dingoes and African wild dogs. She soon realised that the behaviours exhibited by these wild dogs were the same as those she noted in her own dogs.
Applying what she she had observed she set about convincing her own pack that she was indeed a worthy leader, that she could provide what they instinctively knew they needed for survival. Eventually She refined this down to four key elements. If you provide all four elements in a calm, patient and consistent manner, your dog will accept you as leader.
This method works without the use of force, aggression, gadgets, choke chains or fear. You simply convey your status of leader in a way that your dog understands
" If you would understand this secret, you must first understand the distinction between training an animal and educating one. Trained animals are relatively easy to turn out. All that is required is a book of instructions, a certain amount of bluff and bluster, something to use for threatening and punishing purposes, and of course the animal. Educating an animal, on the other hand, demands keen intelligence, integrity, imagination, and the gentle touch, mentally, vocally, and physically."
